Membership

Join TRWA and work with others who care about saving and preserving our environment.

Over the years, TRWA has found ways to get members involved with direct action to "Save the Taunton." We offer canoe/kayak trips and river clean-ups to bring members close to the waterways. Volunteers do water quality monitoring so that we have data to support what we already know are problems in the rivers and ponds. We conduct educational programs to bring awareness to the public. We work with local government to make review comments on proposed developments that may impact wetlands, habitats, and waterways and by forming "River Action Focus Teams" citizen groups. We also work at the state government level to ensure that public policy decisions affecting the watershed are sound and supportive of our environmental goals.

Please take the time to be part of our efforts and become a member. Click here for a membership form pdf image that can be printed and mailed to our offices.

Show your concern about our Taunton River Watershed. Everyone can contribute in ways that make an immediate difference.

Ways to help:

Become a new member: Numbers count! It gives us validity in our advocacy as we "speak for the river." It gives us more workers when we clean river banks, do water quality testing, and fish counting.

Renew your membership: Our work will not end and our members are the backbone of TRWA. Continued support acknowledges that we are making a difference and that we wonít give up. Click here for a printable membership renewal form.

Donations: Whether its a one time only tax deductible gift, regular giving, or a memorial gift, consider supporting the work of the TRWA. For secure online electronic donations, click here. For more information regarding memorial donations please call our office at (508) 828-1101. A donation given in the name of someone else, as a memorial for a loved one or in honor of a special event will increase our ability to protect the watershed. We would be pleased to give recognition of this type of giving in our publications and reports.

Volunteer: There are many ways to help: hands-on restoration and other outdoor projects; office help; assisting at TRWA events, festivals, and meetings; website development; water quality monitoring; and fund raising. No matter what skill you have or time limitations, there is a way for you to contribute. Click here to volunteer.
